1st thrifting experience

Since it has opened, I'm dreaming to go to Re/Dress, the plus size vintage store in NY..I'm so in love with their 50's style dresses.

I'm not a thrifter at all...I mean, I don't have the eye, really, I'm bad at finding beautiful clothes in pile of others clothes..

But I went to Mon Amour a small vintage shop in Paris, run by Sandrine and Narumi. They're not specialised in plus size, it s mainly mainstream sizes but I asked Sandrine and in 3 days, tadam, she's found 2 beautiful dresses... I mean it was so perfectly what I wanted, i.e. something you'll never found in retail.

Also, if she also has a cool selection of accessories (scarves, belts, hair bands..) and of course jewellery..

Here is the 1st dress : pure silk with a cuttie pattern.
I alterred the length by adding a wide purple belt, so the dress would be knee high.

I added a little beige rose on the collar and my scissor necklace

Very late Ditto post...

Of course, as any sane fatshionista, I jumped on the Ditto collection as soon as it was online.
Especially because last year I've had a bad experience, my package got lost and once I realised it, all my favorite pieces were sold out .. (I'm still looking for the purple sequin dress on ebay but alas...haven't found it yet..)

So this year, I bought my favorite piece on the 1st day. I usually always wait for a reduction code or for the sales, but I was sure the polka dot dress would go realllly fast.

I'm still so pissed about the black and red chevron dress policy that Evans did : exclusivity.
Come one! Evans is not a haute couture brand.. I thought it was unnecessarily frustrating for us, fatshionistas.

The dress is just perfect, but a bit too short on me. I've combined it with the pencil black skirt from Asos and of course, my usual red belt.
I also bought the black Ditto leggings. They are nicely high waisted but after having worn them for one day, they get a little bit too loose. For the moment, nothing has beaten the black Carmakoma leggings!

new corduroy dress

I bought recently this purple corduroy dress on sale on the Asos website.
It is not spectacular but comfy for the winter season.
It has no sleeve so I have to wear it with a cardigan.

the magic red belt ***retro-blogging***

Dorothy had her red slippers, I think I've found my magical red accessory.

I bought this vynil red belt for a reasonable price on ebay and it has saved so many of my outfits...
When I buckle it, it immediately pimps the outfit and structures my figure.

Today, I combine a simple sequin t shirt with my beloved tulip skirt and tadam... the red belt does the trick!

rainy summer day ***retro-blogging***

This was during one of the very rainy and sad day of august.

I spent so many years wearing black clothes, it is still like a pavlovian reflex when the weather is depressing.

I wanted to try on the black "legging" I bought at MS Mode a few weeks before during my trip to Lille.
In Central Paris, you can't find a MS Mode (or a New Look with an Inspire section by the way), you have to go to the suburbs...and I must shamefully admit I have more occasions to go to Lille than to the parisian suburbs...
Usually, the big malls outside of Paris are difficult to reach, you often have t go there by metro then bus or RER then bus.. It is really too much for a claustrophobic person like me, who avoids any metro ride!

I bought 2 "leggings" at MS Mode :
a brown one that you can see here
and the black one I'm wearing today.

If I can say I love there tights, I'm really less excited by the "leggings"..
The fabric is really thin, it's more of a footless tight.
This one has 3 little buttons at the end of the leg on the area where the fabric is doubled... it gives the impression of a shorter leg (an impression that nobody needs, especially not the fat ones...)
I'm really not convinced by the elegance of the design.

soccer tribute

I've been wanting to wear knee high socks for a long time now..
Tootsicle on Fatshionista was my inspiration...like here or here
I haven't had the occasion or the imagination before today..
I like the mix between the girlie side and the sport side...

A charleston vibe

It's easter week-end and I go with the black and red look. The tights are from We love colors, the colors are really nice but the texture is not elastic enough, so the tights are constantly on my ankles, not very elegant.
I'm also more confident in showing some legs....
