The animal print dress dilemma

By reading other blogs, I discovered Sweat faced Style's love for animal print and she really made me consider buying an animal print dress.

So I found a dress a few time ago on Evans and ordered it.. but since then, I really don't know how to style it, I'm never happy with the final results.

One big problem, the cleavage is too low on the breast, so I can't wear it as a proper dress, I have to had a t-shirt.

Also, I really don't know what's wrong.. maybe it is the pattern is too light..maybe the general shape doesn't fit my body...maybe I picked the wrong shoes...

The 1st attempt was with black leggings, a black jumper with a wide belt and a little animal print scarf.. It was a bit sad, and my face isn't helping too!!

Then I decided to pimp it up with some colors and added the purple tights and the purple wide blet.. Still wasn't convinced

Then I tought that maybe the black jumper was too big so I took him off and add a long sleeve black t-shirt and put the purple wide dress directly on the dress...

As I was relly getting late and had to go away, I made up my mind on this last outfit.. but maybe this kind of patters is simply not for me.. or I could maybe alterred the dress..

I'll keep you update with my new ideas on this very important issue!!

Eureka! ***retro-blogging***

I bought this dress last summer and I couldn't figure out a good way to wear it : I did like this and like that... and none of the solutions suited me.

But with the help of my magical red belt, I can say : Eureka! The dress has a fabric panel on the front that gives a floppy aspect, and the belt helps to structure the line.

I also realised I can't wear it without a skirt, since it is too short for me.

heading to a forest art festival

This week end, I went to an art festival in the middle of a forest in the east of France...
So, that is why you see black leather boots in july.

I anticipated the cold weather of a night in the forest and God knows I was right... I was really freezing all night long, till we found a shelter in a ancient convent..

So I wore this floral dress I adore with my black skinny jeans and the boots above the jeans...This is also the 1st time I can wear the boots over the jeans and not under... I just love Duo, they propose a perfect range of wide calf boots. I'm just waiting that they add a red model in their catalogue.

this outfit is nothing specially new, just a new arrangement of old clothes.

stormy afternoon

Since I bought this dress/tunic in december, I haven't figure out how to wear it..I tried it today with a skinny jean.. I don't know, something might be wrong in the shape itself and it is a bit too tight around the hips. I really love Carmakoma but this tunic may be my least favorite...

same same

Today, I'm wearing the same outfit than yesterday... I just tried different shoes and some accessories, and especially a big black sequin bow I haven't really worn yet, I have the feeling it is a bit too girly for me... I will see if people throw rocks at me... The shoes are also in my closet for a long time...I'm not sure about the general look. Tonite is probably their last try.. if I don't feel good in them, I'll probably sell them.

And I'm also not sure about which coat to wear... Too many questions today!!

Carmakoma out of the closet

I bought this Carmakoma dress in Castaluna in december but it was a bit too tight and also more a spring dress...
I combined it today with a red biker jacket.

volcano explosion...

Since yesterday, the nature has express herself in Iceland and gone a little wild.
Maybe that's why I'm wearing this very short outfit, i've gone a little wild. Maybe a little too self assured...

Not ready yet (part 2)

Same feeling for this dress...I can't close the last 2 buttons..so I don't feel too comfortable also, fearing the dress will open too widely

The winner look of the winter...

...is definitely this one : the tulip skirt, a loose turtle neck sweater with a large belt and boots.

I feel incredibly fine and feminine in this combinaison..

I also wear the skull bracelet and earrings from It's a swindle... I just adore cheap jewels... nearly child jewel... I don't like wearing anything too expensive, jewels or even clothes.

Regular Look

Not knowing which one to choose, I bought the 2 Yours tulip skirts : the regular one and the wet look...
They are a little bit too wide on the hips. I really love the way they show my legs, stopping just above the knee.

Cosmic Carmakoma

I received a new package from Castaluna with the 2 Carmakoma dresses.

The satin grey one is a little bit too small around the belly... I love the zipper in the back but I'm eventually not so fan of the form on the front, an asymetric neck line...

The purple dress, thought the same size as the grey one is more comfortable, just a bit too tight around the knees.. I have to open 2 buttons to feel at ease..

I'm once more really please with Carmakoma, their clothes are really nice and well cut...

blue saturday

I went on a shopping binge this wednesday... ready to make to most of the end of the sales on internet.
I received my first package this afternoon from La Redoute : 2 black panties that will go under my skirts this spring, 2 long sleeves t shirt (one black one purple), on long sleeve bolero and 2 cardigans (black and purple).

I compose the outfit around the green dress from H&M to attend a low key party...

retail therapy 2

I also tried on the knee high legging I reveiced this morning. It is size 54 and fits well. The size chart is so variable from one retailer to another, I was a bit afraid.
Nevertheless, the fabric is really thin... this item won't last very long alas..
For the moment, nothing can beat the Carmakoma legging...

The dress/sweater is perfect..I bought it before the sales on Castaluna... I'm a bit bummed I didn't wait the sales but I was afraid it would go out of stock. The fabric is really nice.
I also bought a shirt/dress at the same time and on the same size and it didn't fit me at all around the hip.

Now, I just have to wait for springtime to wear it!
