a very good fashion faux pas ***retro-blogging***

Ok... this is what I've previously called a" WTF outfit"...

Those kind of photos reminds me that I should really buy a big big BIG mirror instead of taking snaps of my outfits and going in the streets dressed like this.

I feel everything is wrong with this outfit... from head to toe...
Let's try to be scientific :
the jacket doesn't match the dress
the dress is too short to be worn without a skirt
the ski pants doesn't match with the wedges
the flower in the hair doesn't match the global outfit

Let's all learn from my mistakes!!

jacket : H&m (size 50)
altered sequin ribcage dress : Rodarte for Target
ski pants : Asos (size 22)
buckled wedges : Jeffrey Campbell (size 9)
studded bag : a little shop in my street, no tag
black rose in the hair : H&M

Though it was in the afternoon, I dressed up and my hand was quite heavy on make up I think....
anyway, it was my birthday, I did what I wanted...

Enlarge your Rodarte

Around Christmas time, I saw this dress on several fashion blogs... I immediately fell in love with it : it has everything I love : sequins and skull-like theme... I had to have it...

I checked for a few months on ebay and finally found the XL for 30 $.
Once it arrived, of course it was too small for me.
But I always have in mind that the clothe has to adapt to the body and not the opposite (what many many fashion people seem to think...)

Once again, I called my friend Misa to help me enlarging it.
Following her instructions, I unpicked completely both sides and took off the zipper.

Then I cut 2 pieces of elasthane fabric and sewed them on the sides.

And tadah! Now it fits around my body!
The customisation is quite simple but it took a little bit of time and precision...
