the magic red belt ***retro-blogging***

Dorothy had her red slippers, I think I've found my magical red accessory.

I bought this vynil red belt for a reasonable price on ebay and it has saved so many of my outfits...
When I buckle it, it immediately pimps the outfit and structures my figure.

Today, I combine a simple sequin t shirt with my beloved tulip skirt and tadam... the red belt does the trick!

a very good fashion faux pas ***retro-blogging***

Ok... this is what I've previously called a" WTF outfit"...

Those kind of photos reminds me that I should really buy a big big BIG mirror instead of taking snaps of my outfits and going in the streets dressed like this.

I feel everything is wrong with this outfit... from head to toe...
Let's try to be scientific :
the jacket doesn't match the dress
the dress is too short to be worn without a skirt
the ski pants doesn't match with the wedges
the flower in the hair doesn't match the global outfit

Let's all learn from my mistakes!!

jacket : H&m (size 50)
altered sequin ribcage dress : Rodarte for Target
ski pants : Asos (size 22)
buckled wedges : Jeffrey Campbell (size 9)
studded bag : a little shop in my street, no tag
black rose in the hair : H&M

rainy summer day ***retro-blogging***

This was during one of the very rainy and sad day of august.

I spent so many years wearing black clothes, it is still like a pavlovian reflex when the weather is depressing.

I wanted to try on the black "legging" I bought at MS Mode a few weeks before during my trip to Lille.
In Central Paris, you can't find a MS Mode (or a New Look with an Inspire section by the way), you have to go to the suburbs...and I must shamefully admit I have more occasions to go to Lille than to the parisian suburbs...
Usually, the big malls outside of Paris are difficult to reach, you often have t go there by metro then bus or RER then bus.. It is really too much for a claustrophobic person like me, who avoids any metro ride!

I bought 2 "leggings" at MS Mode :
a brown one that you can see here
and the black one I'm wearing today.

If I can say I love there tights, I'm really less excited by the "leggings"..
The fabric is really thin, it's more of a footless tight.
This one has 3 little buttons at the end of the leg on the area where the fabric is doubled... it gives the impression of a shorter leg (an impression that nobody needs, especially not the fat ones...)
I'm really not convinced by the elegance of the design.

One shouder experience ***retro-blogging***

Woowwww...
I've been away quite a long time now and I do have some outfit pictures I took during the last 2 months, piling up in my harddrive..
They are screaming to be freed, so I couldn't resist adding them to my blog before going back to normal posting.

I don't know if it is "blog orthodox" but I have decided to ***retro-blog*** those outfits. It will be indicate in the title of the post to prevent from confusion...

I hope I'll update everything before posting my new exciting new fall clothes..

So, here I go....

This is the One shoulder dress from Asos I bought this summer.
The bottom is comfortable, it is a double draped skirt, so it doesn't stick too much to the belly.

But the top is a bit loose for my chest (which can not be considered small though...)
The strap keeps falling from the shoulder and the back keeps revealing the bra.
I had to be very careful all day long. One solution might be to shorten the strap.

Nevertheless, it is a very nice summer dress, that can be dressed down with a little cardigan or bolero.
I might consider how to "winterise" it soon.

the Asos cage top issue

I had an instant crush on this top when I saw it...but I was not so sure it would fit me or that I'll be able to wear it or match ot with my others clothes.
Once on sale (for 10£) and seing it on Valerie's blog, I made up my mind and ordered it.
It's really true you don't feel like taking the tube in it
and I also haven't figure out how to put a jacket on it... maybe a cape?

swallow tube!

Here is one more recent piece of clothes I received recently...

It's a jersey tube, they even call it a boobtube at Dorothy Perkins
It's a 22 and it's a bit loose.
I'm not so sure it fits the breast really well, it's a rather casual summer top...

stepford wife

I received 2 packages yesterday : one from Asos et one from Dorothy Perkins..
I will slowly post the outfits in august..

here is the 1st one : I really developped a new passion for retro dresses and dots... this one combines both...
the dress is a little too short, I have to wear it with legging and also the top of the dress is a bit loose, but still really stylish...

I also tried to smile.. mmmmm... I look a little bit constipated... It s not so easy to look natural while smiling on camera.. especially when you use the timer

and to complete the stepford wife style, here is a big sequin hair bow...

dress : Dorothy Perkins (size 22)
belt : Carmakoma
legging : MS Mode (size 50-54)
shoes : Eram (size 40)
sequin hair bow : H&M
